What is Support Coordination?

Support Coordination is a service that assists participants in implementing their NDIS plans and achieving their goals. It involves working with a support coordinator, who helps navigate the complexities of the NDIS system, ensuring that participants access the right services and supports to meet their needs. Support coordination is available to participants who have been approved funding for this service in their NDIS plans.

NDIS Support Coordination is a valuable service that helps participants navigate the complexities of the NDIS system and achieve their goals. Types of Support Coordination

There are four levels of support coordination under the NDIS:
-
Support Connection (Level 1): This level helps participants understand and use their NDIS plan by connecting them with service providers and community-based supports. It is designed for participants who need minimal assistance.
-
Support Coordination (Level 2): At this level, participants receive more comprehensive support to implement their plan, manage service delivery, and achieve their NDIS goals. Support coordinators help participants build their capacity to manage their own supports independently.
-
Specialist Support Coordination (Level 3): This is the highest level of support coordination, provided to participants with complex needs or high levels of risk. Specialist support coordinators have expertise in managing complex situations and coordinating multiple services.
-
Psychosocial Recovery Coaching: This is a specialized support service for people with psychosocial disabilities. The goal of this coaching is to help participants with mental health conditions build their skills, resilience, and confidence, enabling them to manage their disability more effectively and work towards achieving their personal goals.
